Notes for a shell

Plage de la Verrerie, Marseille / 2017-2018-2019

Notes for a Shell (translation of Francis Ponge's poem "Notes pour un coquillage") was born from the desire to show artworks under different conditions than what the habitual structures, environments imply.

The first edition of what became a project throughout three years including exhibitions and performances, took place in a fisherman's hut (in the cabin and on its terrasse) on the beach, thus creating a new context both for the works and the public.

Curators :

Tiago de Abreu Pinto (2017)

Jordi Antas (2018)

Sergio Verastegui (2019)

Hence a dialogue and confrontation in real time with the coastal landscape and the sedimentary architecture of the fishermen’s huts.
